Q: How long have you been writing?
A: Since September of 2007. (Getting on seven years now.)

Q: How many books have you written?
A: 40 first drafts, but most need revision before publication.

Q: What are you working on next?
A: Impact, a novel in verse prequel/sequel to Second Chance, in shooter Byron Jones' point of view. Other plot bunnies are bouncing around as well.

Q: When did you murder your first character?
A: When I was 13. (People died in the first book I wrote, yes.)

Q: What genres do you prefer writing?
A: Realistic fiction, romance, and occasionally I will attempt to add fantasy elements to stories that retain a realistic fiction feel.

Q: What was the last thing you researched for your novels?
A: Concussions. It was ironically useful because I almost got one several days later.

Q: Do you write poetry and short stories?
A: Yes, but sparingly.

A: Pie, unless it's cookie cake.

Q: How old are you?
A: I just entered my 20s.
